Dr. Jessica Hawkins — An Education Expert Helping Parents Support Their Children
BIOGRAPHY
Educator, Researcher, Advocate
I’ve spent more than fifteen years working inside elementary classrooms, supporting students with a wide range of learning styles, strengths, and challenges. Over time, that experience reveals clear patterns in how children grow, where they struggle, and where parents often feel unsure about what’s happening inside the school system.
I hold a PhD in Educational Leadership, and my work connects academic research with the everyday realities of elementary school. Much of what I share focuses on helping parents better understand reading development, writing skills, behavior patterns, and the systems that shape a child’s experience in school.
Because when parents understand what’s happening, everything shifts—for them and for their child.
My Core Values
Clarity
Elementary school systems can feel confusing for parents. I focus on clear, jargon-free explanations so you can better understand how school works and navigate each situation with confidence.
Empathy
Every child’s learning journey is different. I lead with understanding and compassion, recognizing the emotional weight that often comes with supporting your child through school challenges.
Collaboration
Children grow best when families and schools work together. I believe strong parent-teacher relationships create the support system students need to learn, grow, and thrive.
